This is Halloween Challenge 1-HORROR MOVIES

Well today is the first day of my first challenge!!!  Actually I'm paticipating in 2 challenges for the month of October.  So, today I have 2 manis to show you! 

The first one I want to show is for the Halloween themed one.  The theme for today is HORROR MOVIES!!  So in honor of the first horror movie I ever saw I did my mani based on A Nightmare on Elm Street!  I was only like 8 when I saw this movie and it scared the crap out of me!  But let me tell you, I was hooked on horror after that!

The polishes I used for this mani are

 

China Glaze Westside Warrior 

OPI Got the Blues for Red

WNW Black Creme

and for Freddy's claw I used acrylic paint

The stripes are the same as Freddy's shirt and the middle finger has his claw of knives.  I only explain this because I went to Walgreens to find an olive green color for the stripes and a girl working there asked if I needed any help.  I told her what I was looking for and she said she couldn't help because she had never seen the movies.  A damn shame I say!

I'm quite pleased with the end results!!  All the polishes I used are great polishes and caused me no problems.  I used 2 coats of Westside Warrior and then layed down the striping tape and did 1 coat of Got the Blues for Red.  Then I lightly sponged a little Black Creme in spots!

This is actually my second attempt at the mani.  The first one I did the stripes free hand but I like the look of the one I used the striping tape on better.  Here's a shot of my first (failed) attempt.
